At 500mm, this isn’t just a lens—it’s a legitimate telescope with a mount. Perfect for birds, animals, sports, the moon, airplanes, safaris, rallies, watching beach lifeguards, and situations where you want to be there but physically don’t want to get any closer.
F6.3 isn’t a nightclub lens, but it works very well during the day. On Nikon Z cameras with focus peaking, manual focus is actually quite enjoyable—point, shoot, and enjoy.
